Sending a valuable card away should never feel like a leap of faith. Here’s exactly what happens, step by step.
CARD ASSESSMENT
Send us clear front and back photos plus close-ups through the assessment form, and tell us what concerns you. Your card stays with you.
QUOTE
We review the photos and reply with an honest view: what may be achievable, what isn’t, the proposed treatment and its price. If treatment isn’t sensible, we’ll say so.
CUSTOMER APPROVAL
Nothing happens until you approve the quote in writing. You can ask questions, change your mind, or decline — no obligation.
SHIPPING TO OAKLAB
Once approved, we send packaging guidance and the delivery address. Please use protective sleeves, a rigid holder and tracked, appropriately insured postage.
ARRIVAL DOCUMENTATION
When your card arrives we photograph it and record its condition before anything else happens, and let you know it’s safely in the Lab.
TREATMENT
Only the agreed treatment is carried out. If we find anything unexpected, we stop and contact you before going further.
FINAL INSPECTION
Every card is inspected after treatment against the arrival record to check the result and confirm nothing has been missed.
BEFORE / AFTER DOCUMENTATION
We photograph the card again under the same conditions so you can see the before and after for yourself.
SECURE RETURN SHIPPING
Your card is securely packed and returned directly to you by tracked shipping. Return postage is quoted separately unless otherwise stated.
